(February 28, 2024) – The NEWMAC and FloSports, a global independent sports media company and streaming platform, today announced a historic five-year media rights agreement under which FloSports will become the exclusive media partner of the NEWMAC beginning in the 2024-2025 academic year.

Seahawks end season with quarterfinal defeat against Pride

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (Wednesday, February 21, 2024) -- The Springfield College women's basketball team had six student-athletes score in double figures as it advanced past Salve Regina University, 89-43, in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship Quarterfinals on Wednesday evening in Blake Arena.

Seahawks earn spot in NEWMAC postseason despite loss to Engineers

NEWPORT, R.I. (Saturday, February 17, 2024) -- Salve Regina University women's basketball rallied back from a double-digit deficit in the third quarter before ultimately falling to the Engineers of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 89-73, in the final game of the NEWMAC regular season at the Rodgers Recreation Center on Saturday afternoon.

(Saturday, February 10, 2024) - Sophomore forward Sofia Neary (Wayne, N.J.) posted her fifth-straight double-double with team-highs 19 points and 13 rebounds, but it was not enough as Salve Regina University women's basketball fell by four, 86-82, against Clark University in NEWMAC action at the Hurst Courts in Worcester.

Pride pushes back after trailing Seahawks for most of the game

(Wednesday, February 7, 2024) -- Salve Regina University led for more than three quarters of its game with Springfield College, but the Pride roared back with a 36-10 final 10 minutes to win 75-59 in NEWMAC women's basketball action on Wednesday night at the Rodgers Recreation Center.

WELLESLEY, Mass. (Saturday, February 3, 2024) – Sophomore Sofia Neary (Wayne, N.J.) tied a season-high with 18 rebounds for the Seahawks (10-11 Overall, 4-3 NEWMAC). Senior Briana Neary (Wayne, N.J.) scored 11 points, including the 1000th point of her career.
