(Friday, April 26, 2024) - Salve Regina University softball jumped out to a 3-0 lead in its first at bat at the United States Coast Guard Academy but the Seahawks gave it right back in the bottom of the frame and played catch up throughout. The Bears (11-17, 9-5 NEWMAC) walked off an 8-7 victory in game one on a Julia Briedenthal double and took the nightcap from the Seahawks (12-20, 5-11 NEWMAC) by a 5-2 score to complete the sweep in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action at Nitchman Field.
