No. 44 Wellesley defeats women's tennis, 9-0

NEWPORT, R.I. (Friday, April 26, 2024) -- The Salve Regina women's tennis team fell 9-0 to the No.44 ranked Wellesley College Blue on Friday at the Antone Academic Center. 

At both No. 1 doubles and No. 3 doubles the Seahawks went 8-3. The pair of Stephanie Davis and Alexa Stevens reached 2-2 early on but Wellesley's No. 1 Melinda Alviar and Annissa Mu outlasted the host.

Alexa Stevens posted the closest match of the day for a 6-4 final at No. 1 singles against Annissa Mu.
