(October 5, 2019) -- Salve Regina University freshman Casey Farrell (Cumberland, R.I.) rallied for the second consecutive match at third singles and won a third-set tiebreak, but visiting Roger Williams University rebounded from its only loss of the season (yesterday against Nichols College) and posted an 8-1 triumph on the Seahawks home courts on Saturday afternoon during Fall Festival Weekend in Newport.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Three-time reigning Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women’s Tennis Tournament Champion Nichols will look to continue that streak in 2019 as it was selected as the favorite in the CCC Preseason Coaches’ Poll. Salve Regina was picked to finish fifth, but did receive one first place vote, preventing Nichols from being a unanimous favorite.
