Athletic Philosophy

Our core belief is that a strong intercollegiate athletics program at our university gives our students a competitive advantage, both in sports and in the real world. In our program, students are expected to achieve academic and athletic distinction, as well as demonstrate good sportsmanship and fair play in the classroom and on the field. In addition, we stress the need for civic involvement. It is our goal that every student-athlete competes to the best of his or her ability.

Salve Regina University Department of Athletics provides training and support to student athletes in accordance with our Mercy Mission, which aims to grow the whole person for them to succeed both on and off the field.
