Bears take two from Seahawks, 8-7 and 5-2

NEW LONDON, Conn. (Friday, April 26, 2024) - Salve Regina University softball jumped out to a 3-0 lead in its first at bat at the United States Coast Guard Academy but the Seahawks gave it right back in the bottom of the frame and played catch up throughout. The Bears (11-17, 9-5 NEWMAC) walked off an 8-7 victory in game one on a Julia Briedenthal double and took the nightcap from the Seahawks (12-20, 5-11 NEWMAC) by a 5-2 score to complete the sweep in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action at Nitchman Field.

WORCESTER, Mass. (Saturday, April 20, 2024) -- The WPI softball team swept its third-straight doubleheader with a twinbill win over visiting Salve Regina University at Rooftop Field on Saturday.

NEWPORT, R.I. (Friday, April 19, 2024) - Sophomore Caroline Langmeyer (Upper Arlington, Ohio) totaled 8.1 innings pitched with 15 strikeouts and picked up two victories as Massachusetts Institute of Technology swept Salve Regina University, 6-0 and 10-7, in NEWMAC softball action at Toppa Field on Friday afternoon.
