86 Seahawks inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society

NEWPORT, R.I. -- Salve Regina University has landed 86 student athletes on the 2024 Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society induction list. This year's class is the largest class in the 18-year history of Salve Regina Athletics' relationship with the organization. The institution's previous record-breaking class of 77-inductees was set in 2022 and then tied in 2023.

Of the 86 student-athletes in this year's induction class, two are two-sport student-athletes at Salve Regina. Avery Braccia (Bristol, Conn.) is a member of both the women's cross country and women's track and field teams. Jacey Cosciello (Seymour, Conn.) plays for both the Seahawk volleyball and softball teams.

Chi Alpha Sigma is a nonprofit organization established to recognize college student-athletes who earn a varsity letter in at least one sport while maintaining a 3.4 or higher cumulative GPA throughout their junior and senior years.

Since 2007, when the Salve Regina chapter began, the Seahawks have inducted a total of 754 student-athletes. Find Salve Regina's complete list of National College Athlete Honor Society members here
