The NEWMAC announces FloSports as Exclusive Media Partner

WESTWOOD, Mass. (February 28, 2024) – The NEWMAC and FloSports, a global independent sports media company and streaming platform, today announced a historic five-year media rights agreement under which FloSports will become the exclusive media partner of the NEWMAC beginning in the 2024-2025 academic year.

Seahawks reel in red ribbon day

ASHAWAY, R.I. -- Salve Regina University equestrian enjoyed a "red ribbon day" at the University of Rhode Island show on Saturday, November 11. The small but mighty Seahawks topped two full teams at the end of the day.

NEWPORT, R.I. (November 6, 2023) – Last Friday and Saturday the Seahawks won all six contests that were on the calendar. Women's volleyball picked up their first NEWMAC win against the Emerson Lions, men's ice hockey and women's ice hockey bested the Suffolk Rams in all four of the home-and-away series games, and Football dominated SUNY Maritime 49-0. This week the Seahawks have three home games out of ten total contests.

NEWPORT, R.I. (October 30, 2023) – Last week was the end of the regular season for several Seahawk sports and with that, the women's soccer, men's soccer and field hockey seasons came to a close. It was an exciting year featuring a slate of new rivals in the NEWMAC conference.

WARREN, R.I. - On Saturday, October 28, Salve Regina University equestrian traveled to compete at the Brown Invitational in Warren, Rhode Island. Riders collectively brought home five first place finishes.

NEWPORT, R.I. (October 9, 2023) – Salve Regina now has seven weeks of NEWMAC competition experience. Seahawk teams are starting to see where they matchup against conference rivals, make offensive and defensive tweaks and set new goals for the end of the fall season. Winter sports including women's ice hockey, women's basketball, men's ice hockey and men's basketball are preparing for the start of their seasons and preseason exhibition contests will begin.

Salve Regina garners tie for third in first equestrian show of season

ASHAWAY, R.I. - Salve Regina University equestrian team garnered a third-place showing (tied with Roger Williams) at the event hosted by Johnson & Wales University at Hunter Ridge in Ashaway, Rhode Island.

There will be nine home contests this week and visiting NEWMAC programs include: Wheaton College, Emerson College, The United States Coast Guard Academy, Smith College and Babson College.
