WESTFIELD, Mass -- After the completion of the NEWMAC championships two weeks ago, women's cross country traveled to the NCAA DIII Mideast Region Championships on Saturday to see where they stack up against an even broader pool of racers.

The Seahawks had the opportunity to see Stanley Park once before this season when the team raced at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University earlier in the year. The women's 6,000-meter course featured a straight shot across a grassy soccer field to start, looped around the park's rocky trails and finished back on the grass adjacent to Western Avenue and Westfield St.'s main campus.

Salve Regina finished 13th out of 24 teams with 416 points. Williams College came in first with 61 points and Amherst was second with 109 points. The winning time of the day came from Williams' Genna Girard. Girard crossed the finish line in 20:40.80.

Isabella Hasting, Salve Regina's top finisher, came in 34th place with a time of 22:19.70 and was followed by Anna Weygang in 72nd place at 23:16.70. Hastings is now second in the Salve Regina all-time records.

Salve Regina performances:
34. Isabella Hastings - 22:19.70
72. Anna Weygang - 23:16.70
98. Avery Braccia - 24:15.30
111. Liv Forbes - 24:45.40
118. Bre Shipman - 24:53.10
