Salve Regina women's cross country set for 2023 season

NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University women's cross country head coach Kacie Gallo '08 has released the fall schedule.

"This year we are ready to put in the hard work required to compete in the NEWMAC," said Gallo."We have seven incoming recruits who will be contributors on the team as well as a solid foundation from our captains - Avery BracciaOlivia Forbes, and Nicole Nenninger. Having the athletes back together will help us start the season strong. Everyone will be working together and pushing each other."

The schedule includes six regular-season competitions and two championship races beginning with the Suffolk Short Course Classic in Boston, Mass., on Friday, Sept. 1. Regular season races will range from just over 3,000 meters to 6,000 meters and will feature everything from the hilly Northampton, Mass., course of the Smith Invitational to the gradual terrain of Stanley Park in Westfield, Massachusetts.
