CCC Runner of the Week: Alex Demeo

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University junior Alex Demeo (Burlington, Mass.) as its runner of the week for women's cross country (Sept. 11-17).

Runner of the Week - Demeo finished 20th in an enormous field of 299 runners at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. The junior ran the five-kilometer course in 19:12 to lead the Seahawks to a seventh place finish out of 40 teams. She was the top CCC finisher in the meet.

The Seahawks complete in the Blazer Invitational hosted by Elms College in Chicopee, Mass., on Saturday, September 23.
