NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University senior Shannon Holden (Hingham, Mass.) as its runner of the week for women's cross country (September 28 - October 4).

Runner of the Week - Holden earned second place in a 101-person field at the Tri-State Invitational.  Holden traversed the 5K trail in 20:01.29, leading all Seahawk runners.

Salve Regina earned a second-place finish out of 10 teams in the Tri-State Invitational on Saturday. Next week the Seahawks rest for Columbus Day before competing in the Camel Invitational at Connecticut College.
