Norton earns second straight CCC runner of the week award

NEWPORT, R.I - For the second consecutive week, Salve Regina University senior Caroline Norton (Portland, Conn.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference female runner of the week.

Norton posted a personal-best time of 19:24 at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational this past weekend, finishing 25th out of 258 total runners. The senior topped her previous best time on the course by over a full minute, having posted times of 20:58 and 20:27 in the past.

Caroline led the Seahawks to an 11th place finish out of 37 teams at the Invitational. Norton and the Seahawks will return to action this Saturday when they run at the Elms College Invitational starting at 11 a.m.
