Seahawks race again in Bristol

BRISTOL, R.I. - On an overcast Saturday afternoon under chilly 45-degree running conditions, the Salve Regina University women's sub-varsity cross country team completed its final season competition at the ECAC Division III Cross Country Championships at Colt State Park.

Freshman Joanna Accorsini (Mendon, Mass.) completed the course in 139th place finishing first for the Seahawks with a time of 26:41 (nearly a 40-second PR).  Accorsini was followed by sophomore teammates Danielle Schioppo (North Haven, Conn.), who placed 153rd with a time of 27:00,  Kelsey Windisch (Ridgefield, Conn.), who finished in 204th place with a time of 28:09, and Karen Krupa (South Burlington, Vt.), who finished in 226th place with a time of 28:59.

Holly McGill (Brielle, N.J.) and Caroline Gildea (Lexington, Mass.) finished together in 259th and 260th place with a time of 31:10 and 31:11, respectively.

The Seahawks will travel next weekend to Williams College in Willliamstown, Mass., to compete at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Cross Country Championships.
