NEWPORT, R.I. - Lauren Hoyle's career-high 18 kills help the Salve Regina University women's volleyball team defeat Nichols College in four tightly contested sets 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 27-25) in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action.

All-Time Series: The Seahawks have won all six meetings with the Bison. The Bison won their first set in the series today.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Hoyle's 18 kills were both a match and career-high while Brighton Solheim logged a double-double with 11 kills and 14 digs.
  • Lauren Ahlholm swung at a match-best .462 clip stirking for six kills and three solo blocks.
  • Katelyn O'Brien posted 37 assists to pace the offense while Kate Murhpy grabbed 28 digs to anchor the defense.
  • Liz Diorio collected a match-high 31 digs for the visitors while Luna Colozzo and Syndey Ball each had a team-high 13 kills.
  • Kyra Burdier dished a match-high 41 helpers to aid the Bison offense.
