NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University women's volleyball team served up ten aces to help sweep visiting Rhode Island College 3-0 in a non-conference matchup Tuesday evening in the Seahawks home opener.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Salve Regina only trailed for eight points during an early sretch of the second set. The Seahawks led and never trailed in both the first and third sets.
  • Madison Lee led the Seahawks scoring efforts with nine kills and an ace.
  • Sienna DeCicco posted 19 assists to pace the Salve offense while Madison Lee and sister Morgan Lee combined for 17 digs.
  • Amelia Murphy struck for six kills while Megan Philbrick notched five kills and a black to lead the Anchormen scoring.
  • Salve Regina delived 10 aces in the match.
