NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - A 27-25, 25-18, 25-22 victory over Salve Regina helped the Smith College volleyball to its fourth-consecutive win Friday night in Ainsworth Gymnasium. Smith's 12-5 record is their best start dating back to the 2013 campaign. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • First year Olivia Smith (Mill Valley, Calif./Tamalpais) finished with 10 kills and nine digs while classmate Fiona Hegarty (Tustin, Calif./Foothill) produced eight kills and a .467 hitting percentage.
  • First year Nathalie Pak (Lexington, Mass./Lexington) tallied 19 assists and three service aces.
  • Junior Gabby Beckman (Aurora, Colo./Grandview) collected 23 digs.
  • Brighton Solheim and Sydney Ramsey each paced the Seahakws with seven kills.
  • Madison Lee led the Seahawks overall scoring with six kills, four solo blocks, and two aces.
  • Katelyn O'Brien totalled 16 assists for Salve Regina.

Smith has a quick turnaround as it will travel to 18th-ranked and undefeated MIT Saturday for a tri-match with Worcester State, Salve Regina returns home to face Gordon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup on Tuesday.
