SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - After its school-record nine-match win streak was halted, Salve Regina University women's volleyball started another. With a 3-0 mark last week including a second triumph over Framingham State, the Seahawks upped their record to 12-1 overall. No matches have been played in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).

Player of the Week - Salve Regina University junior outside hitter Jennifer Duggan (Merrimack, N.H.) played a key role in the Seahawks 3-0 record on the week. Duggan contributed both offensively and defensively as she averaged 3.40 kills per set and 4.00 digs per set on the week, while earning two double-doubles. In a 3-0 win over Eastern Connecticut, the junior recorded a double-double with 11 kills (hitting .346) and 10 digs.  Against Newbury (3-0), the outside hitter earned 10 kills and nine digs. In a 3-1 victory over Framingham State, Duggan recorded her second double-double on the week with 13 kills and 21 digs.

After a non-league match with Johnson & Wales University on Tuesday, Salve Regina begins its Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) schedule with a road match at Eastern Nazarene College on Thursday and follows with a home match against Wentworth Institute of Technology on Saturday.
