Bio

Andrew Furst joins Salve Regina Athletics as head women's track and field coach beginning with the 2024 season. 

Furst steps into the role with a substantial background of over 13 years of sports management experience. Notably, Furst serves as head cross country and track and field coach as well as assistant athletic director at the Naval Acadamy Preparatory School in Newport, Rhode Island. 

Prior to the Naval Academy Furst served as the assistant men's and women's track and field coach at Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut and the assistant women's cross country and track and field coach at Palomar College in San Marcos, California. 

Furst competed as a track and field athlete while he perused a bachelor's of since in exercise science from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He received a master's of science in sports management from Troy University in 2020. He has experience coaching distance, sprints, jumps, throws and multi-event groups, managing the purchasing of athletic equipment, coordinating travel logistics, monitoring student academic success, fundraising and student-athlete recruitment.
