NEWPORT, R.I. (October 5, 2019) -- Salve Regina University freshman Casey Farrell (Cumberland, R.I.) rallied for the second consecutive match at third singles and won a third-set tiebreak, but visiting Roger Williams University rebounded from its only loss of the season (yesterday against Nichols College) and posted an 8-1 triumph on the Seahawks home courts on Saturday afternoon during Fall Festival Weekend in Newport.

Farrell won her fourth straight match and remains unbeaten (3-0) against conference opponents.

The visiting Hawks swept all three doubles matches including a tight decision at No. 1 - Alessia Cahoon (Dedham, Mass.)/Heidi Martin (Scituate, Mass.) def. Lauren Harvey (Edmond, Okla.)/Delaney Pothier (Mattapoisett, Mass.), 8-6.

In the all-time series, the Hawks have won 15 of the last 16, 18 of the last 20, and now take a 24-23 lead with today's win.
