Gruber goes three sets in three of last four matches
BEVERLY, Mass. - After winning its first two, Salve Regina University women's tennis suffered its second straight Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) defeat, this time to four-time defending champions Endicott College on the road.
Junior Emma Gruber (New Canaan, Conn.) split her first two sets at second singles for the third time this season before coming out on the short end of a 10-3 score in a third-set super tiebreak.
The Seahawks (2-4, 2-2 CCC) return home on Wednesday to host the Golden Bears (3 p.m.) in another conference matchup.
