NEWPORT, R.I. (October 17, 2021) - Salve Regina University women's soccer took a 1-0 lead into intermission but the visiting Scots of Gordon College tallied twice in the second half to win 2-1 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Toppa Field.

Seahawk junior Hailey Dubbioso (No. Salem, N.Y.) scored her second goal of the season in the 26th minute after taking a feed from classmate Cat Hunter (Flanders, N.J.) and driving a shot with her left foot that Gordon keeper Tori Paine (Northbridge, Mass.) stopped but couldn't contain. Dubbioso pounced on the carom and netted the score with her right foot.

The Scots (10-3-0, 4-2-0 CCC) go the equalizer in the 73rd minute when Savannah Metz (New Cumberland, Pa.) drove in her first of the season with her left foot picking up an attempted clear by a Seahawk header off a corner kick. Sarah Sierzenga's (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) corner kick was headed from the far post by Sofia Gish (Lancaster, Pa.) but a Seahawk header directed it down and away before Metz lunged in with her left foot.

With just under six minutes remaining in regulation, McKenna Feller (Puyallup, Wash.) lined up a free kick from 30 yards out and crossed it to the upper far right corner past Salve Regina (6-8-1, 2-3-1 CCC) keeper Georgia Drake (Plymouth, Mass.) for the game-winner.

Drake finished with a career-high 13 saves for the second time this season. Including her initial stop on Dubbioso's first shot, Paine totalled two saves in the win.
