Summary
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Three different players recorded hat-tricks for the Salve Regina University women's lacrosse team as it defeated Curry College 18-3 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action to improve to 4-0 for the first time in program history.

Series and Streaks
The Seahawks snap a two-game skid in the series; however, the Colonels still lead 15-9 all-time.

  1. Salve Regina senior Nicole Smith (North Attleboro, Mass.) has scored six goals in back-to-back games to match a career-high.
  2. Salve Regina freshman Holly Sullivan (Pembroke, Mass.) assisted on four goals.
  3. Salve Regina freshman Grace Haesche (Warwick, N.Y.) made five saves to improve to 4-0 between the pipes.

Turning Point
Maggie Murray (Marstons Mills, Mass.) scored the first goal of the game to put the Colonels on top, but the Seahawks answered with eight straight, bookended by goals from Nicole Smith. Four straight goals to begin the second half gave the Seahawks a double-digit lead and they never looked back.

  • Murray finished with two goals to lead the Colonels scoring efforts.
  • Freshmen goalie Meagan Young (New Market, Md.) made 12 saves in her collegiate debut for the Colonels.
  • Samantha Moleti (Township of Washington, N.J.) and Kathryn Mullin (Bethpage, N.Y.) each had hat-tricks as well for the Seahawks while Stella McCormack (East Hampton, Conn.) and Cameron Baston (Plantsville, Conn.) notched their first career goals.
  • Salve Regina held a 40-13 edge in shots, 30-10 in shots on goal.
