The Bison fall to 3-13 against the Seahawks in the all- time series, losing the last two contests. This is the Seahawks first win at Vendetti Field since 2012.

Quick Synopsis
The Nichols College women's lacrosse team fell to Salve Regina 16-7 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Thursday afternoon at Vendetti Field. The Seahawks saw three student athletes register hat tricks on their way to their first conference win of the young season.

1 – Senior Abigail Tepper (Foxboro, Mass.) (SRU) – two goals; three assists; four shots on net; two ground balls; one caused turnover 

2 – Junior Courtney Moulton (Merrimack, N.H.) (SRU) – three goals; one assist; four shots on net; one ground ball

3 – Junior Brooke Marion (South Hadley, Mass.) (NC) – four goals; a game high eight shots on net; one ground ball; one draw control

 Key Stat of the Game

The Bison struggled to maintain control of the ball for much of the match committing 16 turnovers as opposed to just nine for the Seahawks. 

Quick Hits

- The Seahawks outshot the Bison 31-19 for the game – including 22-6 in the first half – and jumped out to an 11-3 lead in the first half, the Bison responded in the second half by outshooting the Seahawks 13-9. 

- Marion paced the Bison with four goals for the game while junior Olivia Morawski (Fairfield, Conn.); seniors Alexa Smith (Salem N.H.) and Meghan Dombkowski (Sagaponack, N.Y.) provided goals. Sophomores Katherine MacNutt (New Milford, Conn) and Allison Bench(Windham, N.H.) each contributed an assist for the Bison. 

- The Seahawks applied pressure on the Bison for the whole game causing them to commit 16 turnovers and only converting on five of nine clear attempts, while the Seahawks cleared eight of nine attempts.

- The Seahawks saw nine student-athletes contribute with at least one goal – three from juniors Kaitlin Gillespie (Haddam, Conn) and Moulton, while freshman Lindsey Smith (North Attleboro, Mass.) also scored a hat trick for the Seahawks. 

- Junior Katherine Cotton (Kennebunk, Maine) stopped six shots through 48:06 of playing time in the loss while sophomore Jacqueline Hogue (North Grafton, Mass.) finished the game and recorded two saves in her time on the field. Senior Katie Jones (Derry, N.H.) took the win saving six bison shots.
