Jones, Malconian named to All-CCC team

NEWPORT, R.I. – Seniors Jennifer Jones (Basking Ridge, N.J.) and Danielle Malconian (Belmont, Mass.) capped their senior seasons on the Salve Regina women's lacrosse team with a spot of the 2013 All-Commonwealth Coast Conference teams as announced Saturday morning.

Jones and Malconian each earned a spot on the honorable mention team to represent Salve Regina.
Jones finished her career as Seahawk as the team's leading scorer with 58 points this season on 45 goals and 13 assists. The attackwoman was third on the team with 28 draw controls.  Jones was 10-for-24 on free position shots this year after starting 13 games for Salve Regina. In the Seahawks final game of the season, Jones set the school record for both points (11) and goals (eight) in a game against Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Malconian started all 14 games on defense for Salve Regina this season as she finished second on the team in ground balls (29) and fourth in caused turnovers (nine). Malconian leaves Salve Regina as the school's leader in both ground balls (195) and caused turnovers (84). Malconian helped out on the offensive side of the field as well, netting three goals this season while handing out two assists.
The Seahawks ended their season with a 3-11 overall record and a 1-7 slate in the CCC.
