MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan University women's hockey team defeated Salve Regina University 2-0 on Sunday night from the Spurrier-Snyder Rink in non-conference action.

Rachel Ziff and Audrey McMahon scored within minutes of each other for the Cardinals in the first period proving to be all the scoring Wesleyan would need.

Rei Halloran made 19 saves to earn the shutout victory while Madison Jalbert stopped 25 shots for the Seahawks.

Salve Regina (1-7, 1-3 CCC) returns to conference play with a road match versus Suffolk on Saturday, December 4.
