BEVERLY, Mass. - The No. 8 nationally ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team shut out Salve Regina, 5-0, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Friday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.
Kat Keith (Westwood, Mass.) guided the Gulls in the win with a pair of power play goals — including the game-winner — to push Endicott to 2-0-0 on the season while Salve Regina slips to 0-2-0.
Meaghan Francis (Woodbridge, Conn.), Tara Henshaw (Babylon, N.Y.), and Kellie Popkin (Walpole, Mass.) also found the back of the net in the victory.
Meanwhile, Bailey Thieben (North Syracuse, N.Y.) stopped nine shots in her first start on the year to improve to 1-0-0 in net. Meanwhile Madison Jalbert (Beverly, Mass.) stopped 33 shots and falls to 0-2-0 in net for Salve Regina.
The two teams will meet agon tomorrow, November 6, in Middletown, R.I., for a rematch on the Seahawks home ice at St. George's.
