Summary
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Freshman forward Nicole Schneiders (Westwood, Mass.) broke a scoreless tie 17:30 into the third period in an eventual 2-0 victory for the Salve Regina University women's ice hockey team over visiting New England College in non-conference action.

After 0-for-5 on their first five power plays the Seahawks took a timeout before their sixth and it paid dividends as Schneiders cashed in on the man advantage to put the Seahawks on the board. The Pilgrims wanted to pull their goalie in the final minute for an extra attacker, but took another penalty that Grace Schwartz was able to finish off, giving the Seahawks a 2-0 victory.
