SCORING SUMMARY

·         Salve Regina got on the board first just 4:01 into the game when sophomore defender Michaela Simon (Wappingers Falls, N.Y. / Hoosac School) recovered a rebound off her own shot and put it back in at point-blank range to put the Seahawks up 1-0.

·         Becker tied it up at 1-1 at 4:04 into the second period, when freshman defender Julia Ravenelle (Barrington, N.H. / Seacoast Spartans) found senior forward Michaela Martin (Sheldon, Vt. / Vermont Shamrocks) who passed from the left side to freshman forward Clare Conway (Billerica, Mass.) for a one-timer.

·         Then 7:01 into the second with the Seahawks on a power-play, Salve Regina sophomore forward Rebecca Hasting (Boulder, Colo. / Silver Creek) curled in front of the net from the right side and scored off a back-hand, assisted by sophomore defender Michaela Carrera (Southington, Conn. / Connecticut Northern Lights). Salve Regina went up 2-1.

·         With 8:58 left in the third, time was running out for the Hawks. But senior forward Rachel Pitcher (Grand Isle, Vt. / Vermont Shamrocks) came through in the clutch, scoring unassisted off a wrap-around goal to tie it up at 2-2.

·         Finally, with just 47 seconds in regulation, Conway collected a rebound from the left side and found the back of the net, sealing the 3-2 victory for the Hawks.
