14 Seahawks make All-NEHC Academic Team

14 members of the Salve Regina women's ice hockey team were named to the NEHC Academic All-Conference team.

MARSHFIELD, Mass.– The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) announced the All-Academic Team recipients in the women's division for the 2017-18 season. To be eligible for All-Academic recognition a student must carry a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA and have completed one full-year at their current institution.

Each of the eight NEHC institutions was represented with 89 student-athletes in total earning the honor. Norwich University led the way with 15 honorees. Salve Regina had 14 student athletes make the squad, including all three captains - seniors Erica Bonnette-Lykens (Swanton, Vt.) and Meredith Peppes (Lincoln, R.I.), and junior Taylor Chisholm (Discovery Bay, Calif.).

The Seahawks will be moving to another league next year along with the University of New England - the Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) - and join fellow Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) members Endicott College and Nichols College on the ice.
