Cronin, Moulton named captains for 2016
NEWPORT, R.I. - Seniors Amanda Cronin (Medfield, Mass.) and Courtney Moulton (Merrimack, N.H.) have been named captains of the Salve Regina University women's ice hockey team for the 2016-17 season.
"Amanda Cronin will bring great leadership for our team this upcoming season. She is an outstanding student athlete and leads by example," said head coach Beth McCann. "We are excited to add Courtney Moulton as captain to lead our team into the 2016-17 season. She brings a great dynamic to the team. She possesses great leadership skills and has the ability to motivate her teammates. Together they will bring great leadership and implement our team culture."
Cronin enters her second season as captain. In 2015 she led all defenseman in scoring and was fourth overall for the Seahawks with nine goals and eight assists. Cronin was also second on the team in powerplay goals with four.
This will be Moulton's first season as captain. Moulton only scored one goal in 2015 but led the Seahawks in +/- as a +3 on the season.
