NEWPORT, R.I. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women's East has selected Salve Regina University senior Michaela Chiuccariello (Winchester, Mass.) as its Player of the Week.

Chiuccariello was instrumental in leading the Seahawks to a 2-1 victory over Southern Maine this past weekend. Chiuccariello assisted on a Danielle Phalon (Stoneham, Mass.) goal in the first period, then Phalon returned the favor assisting Chiuccariello on what would turn out to be the game-winning goal in the first frame. Southern Maine would tack on a goal in the third period and threaten to tie the game, but the Seahawks would prevail 2-1.

The Seahawks travel to face Trinity on January 13 for game number two of a five game road trip to begin 2015.
