Saint Anselm shuts down Salve Regina, 4-0

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Hawks dominated Salve Regina from the opening face off until the final buzzer. The Hawks scored 4 goals in the contest and controlled the game throughout the three periods of play.

 

The first Hawk goal came from Courtney Winters (Swamscott, Mass.), assisted by Sami Tatu (Waterford, Mich.). It was a power play goal and was followed shortly by a goal from Rosemarie Giarrusso (Royal Palm Beach, Fla.) assisted by Jamie Lynn Comrie (Ashburn, Va.) and Molly Corl (South Boston, Mass.).

 

The first period ended with Saint Anselm outshooting the Seahawks 30-3.

 

The second period goals were scored by Kathryn Picarello (West Roxbury, Mass.) assisted by Kristen Byrne (Duxbury, Mass.) and Rose Giarrusso and a second goal by Kathryn Picarello assisted by Kristen Byrne and Sami Tatu.

 

Saint Anselm led 4-0 after two periods of play and held on to win by the same score. The Hawks outshot Salve Regina 37-14.
