Zitzer named to ECAC Honor Roll

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University freshman ice hockey forward Samantha Zitzer (River Forest, Ill.) has been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women's East Honor Roll.

Zitzer scored a pair of goals in Saturday night's 3-2 win over Castleton State, including the game-winner with 3.9 seconds remaining in regulation. She now has five points (3-2-5) in her last five games after recording just one points through her first 14 collegiate contests. The win moved the Seahawks to 5-2-1 in their last seven games and 12-4-3 (9-2-3 ECAC) on the season.

The Seahawks return to action on Friday when they host defending conference champion Norwich at Boss Ice Arena at 4 p.m.
