Neary nets career-high in Salve Regina's win at Emerson

BOSTON, Mass. (January 24, 2024) - Senior captain Briana Neary (Wayne, N.J.) scored a career-high 38 points on 14 field goals and 10-of-11 from the free throw line as Salve Regina University women's basketball edged Emerson College, 92-87, in NEWMAC action at the Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gym in Boston.

However, the game-high scorer was Bri Frongillo of the Lions (11-7, 2-2 NEWMAC) with her 40 points on 13 field goals (five 3-pointers) and nine free throws. Three other Seahawks (9-9, 3-1 NEWMAC) scored in double figures including Ashley Rourke (Londonderry, N.H.) with 19 points on five field goals (three 3-ponters) and six from the charity stripe. Graduate student and captain Morgan Shuey (Corning, Iowa) had a double-double with 13 points and matched her season-high with 11 assists. Olivia Martin (Hanson, Mass.) came off the bench and hit three 3-pointers  to finish with 11 points. Sofia Neary (Wayne, N.J.) led all players with nine rebounds.
