NEWPORT, R.I. (Tuesday, March 23, 2021) -- Salve Regina University senior guard Mary Rorke (Norton, Mass.) led all players with 19 points on five 3-pointers as the Seahawk women's basketball team won its only game played in 2020-21, a 73-37 final over visiting Becker College at the Rodgers Recreation Center. Fellow classmate Brooke Vonasek (Willington, Conn.) added eight points in a starting role while four-year team manager, Abby Williamson, handled the scorebook and public address announcing duties.

The first quarter featured a first-year player, Seahawk freshman Briana Neary (Wayne, N.J.), scoring 10 of her team's 16 points as Salve Regina kept Becker off the board. Neary also grabbed nearly half (four) of her game-high nine rebounds in the opening 10 minutes.

Neary finished with 17 points as Salve Regina sank a school record-tying 10 treys, the eighth time in program history (last time versus Nichols on Feb. 8, 2018). Two Hawks finished with double-figure scoring - senior Jazlyn Contreras (Westport, Mass.) and McKinley White (Southwick, Mass.) both had 10 points after Becker was blanked in the first quarter.
