Harden becomes school's first four-time first-team all-conference player in women's basketball

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University senior guard Meaghan Harden (Sandwich, Mass.) earned a selection to the 2015-16 Women's Basketball All-Conference First Team in voting by the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) coaches.

Student-athletes from eight of the ten CCC women's basketball teams earned All-CCC nods.

Harden, who leads the conference in scoring (16.8 ppg), earns first team all-league honors four straight years.

The 2012-13 rookie of the year became the school's all-time leading scorer in November, and has amassed 1,922 career points. She is also enjoying a great season on the glass with 7.2 rebounds per game to lead the Seahawks, while posting five double-doubles on the year.

Harden will lead the seventh-seeded Seahawks against the second-seeded Golden Bears of Western New England University in CCC quarterfinal action on Tuesday. Chelsea Vujs of Western New England joins Harden on the first team and was named Player of the Year.
