SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) recognizes Salve Regina University sophomore guard Meaghan Harden (Sandwich, Mass.) with its Player of the Week honor for women's basketball.

Player of the Week - Harden helped lead the Seahawks to two conference wins on the week. In a 72-59 win over Eastern Nazarene, Harden netted 24 points, gathered five rebounds, earned three steals, dished one assist, and recorded one block. The sophomore went on to match her career-high in points, as she poured in 30, while shooting 60% (12-of-20) from the field in a 67-49 road win at Gordon. In the 18-point victory, the guard also recorded eight rebounds, four assists, and one steal. On the week, Harden averaged 27 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and two steals.

Harden has eight games with 25 or more points this season, and is only the third player in Seahawk women's basketball history with multiple 30-point games (Erin Phillips, Alyssa Ricci). Harden also became the quickest to 900 career points in school history (906 in 52 games; 17.4 ppg).

This is the second time this season Harden has been recognized with the player of the week award.

With its two-game win streak, Salve Regina (12-11; 10-6 CCC) has two regular season games remaining and stands in fourth place.

The Seahawks play at Western New England University on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., before hosting Curry College on Saturday at 1 p.m. with senior day recognition for Lisa Bucci (Irvington, N.Y.), Marissa Pendergast (Medfield, Mass.), and Taylor Windwer (Milton, Mass.).
