Eagles and Diplomats subdue Seahawks in Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. (Thursday, March 14, 2024) -Salve Regina softball was surpassed 9-1 by University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and 10-2 by Franklin & Marshall College as part of the spring break training trip game slate. 

In game one Hailey Basso's (Carmel, N.Y.) grounder to shortstop in the sixth inning allowed Maddie Capetta (Raritan, N.J.) to advance to third and Jacey Cosciello (Seymour, Conn.) to score. 

Against the Diplomats, following at 6-0 deficit, Katie Ramos (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) singled, allowing three base runners to advance, and Emily Cronin (Coventry, R.I.) got home to make it 6-1 following the second inning. Ramos made it home for the Seahawks second run after Morganti Bello (Corte Madera, Calif.) advanced to third on a wild pitch in the fifth inning.
