NEWPORT, R.I. (April 15, 2022) - Francesca Rubino (Burlington, Mass.) turned in another ESPN-worthy defensive highlight for Salve Regina University softball with an acrobatic grab of a line drive to the fence, and then firing to the infield for a double play. It saved some runs, but the visiting Leopards of Wentworth Institute of Technology swept a pair from the Seahawks, 4-2 in nine innings before a 9-4 decision in the nightcap.

Salve Regina returns to action on Tuesday at MIT for a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m., while Wentworth waits until Wednesday to host Simmons College for a twin bill at 4 p.m.
