NEWPORT, R.I. - Sophomore Chad Strong (San Diego, Calif.) headlines the list of four Salve Regina University men's tennis student-athletes named to The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) All-Conference team.

Strong was named to the First Team as a singles player, and both he and junior Zachary Rosenfeld (Easton, Conn.) were First Team - Doubles selections. Sophomore Aaron Isch (Tolland, Conn.) was a Second Team selection in singles and joined junior teammate Brian Castrichini (Winchester, Mass.) on the Honorable Mention squad as a doubles team.

Strong went 8-2 at No. 1 singles for the Seahawks and 8-1 in doubles with Rosenfeld. He defeated fellow First Team selection Jeff DeNunzio of Roger Williams twice this season in singles competition - once during the regular season and again in TCCC Quarterfinals. In doubles, Strong and Rosenfeld defeated Endicott's First Team pair of Zach Arpey and Devon Locke, 9-8, and dropped a 9-8 decision to the other First Team pair of Mike Jones and Brian Relihan from Western New England.

Isch, meanwhile, posted a 10-1 in singles play. He went 1-0 at No. 2 singles, 7-0 at No. 3 singles, and 2-1 at No. 4 singles. His best wins of the season came against TCCC Honorable Mention selections Tyler McLaughin (Nichols), 2-6, 7-6 (7-2), 1-0 (10-5), and Oliver Joggi (Endicott), 6-3, 6-1. In doubles, Isch and Castrichini posted an 8-3 conference mark and earned key wins over Western New England and Endicott during the regular season playing No. 2 doubles.

"These four student-athletes put forth a lot of hard work this season, and they definitely earned this recognition," said second-year head coach Joe Heckley. "Although we fell short of our goal of repeating as conference champions, we return all of our student-athletes next year and are gearing up for another run at the conference crown."

The Seahawks finished the 2010-11 season 5-12 overall and 5-6 in TCCC play.
