Manousos' late goal makes it two straight draws for the Seahawks

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Salve Regina University men's soccer team earned its second consecutive draw in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action when it scored a late goal to salvage a 2-2 tie with host Lions of Emerson College at Rotch Field.

All-Time Series: In the very first meeting as fellow NEWMAC members, Salve Regina and Emerson forge the first tie in the series. Today was also the first meeting since 1994. Salve Regina now has a 6-1-1 record against Emerson in men's soccer.

  • Aaron Muncaster and Daniel Goba both managed three shots on goal.
  • Last Saturday, Jordan Borges had a season-high 11 shots for the Seahawks. Today, he was held without a shot for only the second time in 2023 (Sept. 23 against MIT).
  • Salve Regina had 18 shots to Emerson's 13 shots.
  • The teams combined for five corner kicks with Salve Regina having the edge with three.

ON THE HORIZON:
Salve Regina hosts Wheaton College on Wednesday (7 p.m.) at Toppa Field in its final regular-season home game. The Seahawks will complete the regular season at Springfield next Saturday.
