Seahawks fly by Falcons with five second-half goals

Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State men's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision to the Seahawks of Salve Regina University in non-conference action tonight at Elliot Field.

How It Happened
Both teams battled to a scoreless first half with each netminder making key saves. Senior Sebastian Jaramillo (Dracut, Mass.) stopped five shots from the visitors while Charlie Zwierzchowski (Keene, N.H.) made two saves on the Green and Gold.

Salve Regina wasted little time tipping the scoreboard in the second half. Junior Michael Manousos (Wethersfield, Conn.) skirted around the Falcons defender and deposited his first goal of the season in the upper right corner in the 46th minute for the 1-0 lead.

The Seahawks extended the lead to 3-0 with a pair of goals from Alessandro Oggiano (Stoughton, Mass.) and Evan Arpin (Andover, Mass.) less than a minute apart. The visitors would add a pair of insurance goals from Casey Kelly (Waldwick, N.J.) and Cooper Costa (Cumberland, R.I.) en route to the 5-0 final.
