Quoting the Coach

  • Craig O'Rourke II - "Today's match was very much a tactical battle for the full 110-minutes. These two programs finished with identical 6-0-2 records a season ago and were deadlocked 0-0 in the 2018 season when the match was contested in Beverly. This year's version of the Salve Regina v. Endicott rivalry was much the same as neither team was really able to break down the other, or truly find a way to capitalize in that match critical moment. Legitimate chances for either side were few and far between – but arguably the two best chances of the match fell to us in the opening minutes of both halves. (Casey) Kelly's header on the back bar in the opening 90 seconds that was cleared off the line, was the best chance for either team in the first half. And then (Alessandro) Oggiano's overhead volley in the first 40 seconds of the second half went off the post. We continue to enjoy large stretches of possession and can link passes together, but without that threatening shot or final touch on a cross, it's all for naught and we continue to see a zero in our scoring column."

Next Up
