WENHAM, Mass. - Salve Regina University's Donald Igo (Needham, Mass.) scored two second-half goals (less than two minutes apart) to lift the Seahawks to their sixth straight win, 2-1, over Gordon College. Salve Regina remains unbeaten in its last nine games (last loss at Western New England, 4-0, on Sept. 23).

The Fighting Scots (10-5-1, 5-2-1 CCC) got on the board first as Josh Cochran received a pass from Josh Beveridge and put it into the right side of the net in the tenth minute. They maintained possession for most of the next 20 minutes as they attempted four shots with one on goal to zero shots for the Seahawks (11-3-3, 5-2-1 CCC). Cochran received a red car in the 32nd minute to put Gordon down a man for the remaining 68 minutes of play. The Fighting Scots had another scoring opportunity in the 39th minute as Matt Chartier's shot was on target, but was saved by Michael Payan. They held Salve Regina without a shot the last 30 minutes of the half to make it a 1-0 game going into halftime.

In the second half, the Seahawks put two shots on goal that were both saved by Wesley Sprague in the first five minutes. Donald Igo tied the game in the 54th minute as he received a pass from Evan MacDonald and put it in the right side of the net. He added another goal in the 56th minute to put Salve Regina up 2-1. Gordon had multiple scoring opportunities the rest of the way that they were unable to convert. Jerry Williams header in the 63rd minute beat the keeper, but was saved by a Seahawks defender. Tyler Modzeleski put a shot on target in the 65th minute that was saved by Payan. Ben Gradert also put a shot on goal in the 80th minute that was stopped by Payan. Tim Andrassy's free kick in the 84th minute was just a smidge to high as it hit off the crossbar. Salve Regina would hold them without a shot the rest of the game to seal the win.

Salve Regina head coach Craig O'Rourke II notched his 100th career victory with the Seahawks (100-85-21; .536 in 11 seasons). He joins Keith Cory (160-156-23; .506 in 17 seasons) as the only Seahawk men's soccer coaches to reach century milestone.
