NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University senior forward Alex Wasilewski (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) earned a selection to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) 2014 NCAA Division III Men's All-New England Fourth Team.

This is the first time Wasilewski has earned a selection to the all-region team, and he becomes the fifth Seahawk in the last four years named to the squad [2012 - Jacob Brigandi, second team, and Robert Ernst, first team; 2011 - Ian Jentgen and Sean McAllister, both second team].

Wasilewski led the Seahawks in goals (six), assists (six), and scoring (18 points). He provided the game-winning goals against Southern Maine (August 30), UMass Dartmouth (September 17) and at Roger Williams (October 11). He ranks fourth all-time in program history in goals per game (0.33).

A Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) first team performer, Wasilewski joins six other CCC men's soccer players on the NSCAA all-region team.

Seahawk head coach Craig O'Rourke II: "I am so happy for Alex to receive this award. After the 2012 season where he missed over two-thirds of the season with a broken clavicle, he really had to put in a great deal of time and work in the off-season to get himself back up to top form. And I point to all of that extra work and effort that he put in as the reason that he has earned this award. That degree of motivation and self-discipline is what made him an All-New England performer."
