Commonwealth Coast Conference Summary: Salve Regina University men's soccer enters the 2013 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships as the fourth seed and will host its in-state rival Roger Williams University, the fifth seed, in a quarterfinal match on Saturday, November 2 at 12 p.m. Gordon College earned the first seed while tiebreak procedures separated Western New England University and Nichols College for the second and third seeds, respectively.

SALVE REGINA VS. ROGER WILLIAMS
  • Salve Regina continues its longest in-state rivalry when it plays at Roger Williams for the 33rd time in Saturday's Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) quarterfinal round match-up.
  • Roger Williams holds a 21-9-2 lead in the all-time series, dating back to the 1983 season.
  • The Seahawks won a 2-1 decision against the Hawks during their Fall Festival Weekend (September 28, 2013).
  • Sophomore Andrew Chenard struck first to get the Seahawks on the board in the 12th minute.
  • Roger Williams found its equalizer just over 20 minutes later after Andrew Carlson took a pass from Trevor Hoxsie to beat Salve Regina's keeper and even the score at 1-1.
  • Salve Regina took the lead for good with a goal from junior Nicholas Carbone off a pass from junior Issa Demirgioglu in the 53rd minute.
  • Salve Regina's sophomore goalie Daniel Stern made six saves in the win while Jon Pelloso made five saves in the loss for Roger Williams.
  • For its first conference championship in 1998, Salve Regina defeated Roger Williams, 2-1, in the title match.
