Seahawks wrap up unbeaten regular season

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University club men's rugby team is coming off of another big win versus Wentworth in fight to secure first in the Colonial Coast Rugby Conference (CCRC).

The Seahawks prevailed 45-17 over the Leopards, pulling away in the second half to secure an undefeated regular season. 

The Seahawks were led by senior James (Slim) Comerford who scored three times, and Man of the Match, Brandon "Goodie" Kistler for relentless defense and line breaks with the ball.

Ovidio Matos '20, Harry Holte '20, and Chandler Kuehne added on scores as well as sophomore John Canal '22 touching down his first ever A-side try.

The Seahawks secured homefield advatange throughout the playoffs and will host Western New England this Saturday, October 19, in the CCRC quarterfinals. Kickoff is at 1 p.m., at Fort Adams where the Seahawks are undefeated the last five seasons.
