BOSTON, Mass. (Friday, March 29, 2024)--At 21 seconds remaining in overtime Max Beauchamp (Saunderstown, R.I.) snaked his way to the Emerson College net and, dodging Lion defenders, sank the game winning goal to elevate the men's lacrosse team 13-12 over Emerson.

The Seahawks established an early lead, but it was a tied game going into halftime. Thanks to BeauchampJackson Noury (Litchfield, N.H.) and Daniel Naglieri (Westhampton Beach, N.Y.) Salve Regina led 12-10 going into the final 15 minutes of regulation. The Lions made things exciting to bring things to a tie with two unanswered goals in the fourth quarter. Goalie William Kein (Summit, N.J.) made several vital saves, including a rocket from Emerson's Nicholas Fulgione at 5:03 in the fourth quarter.

After staying composed during several man up opportunities for Emerson, the Seahawks outwitted the Lions following a failed clear attempt and Beauchamp secured the victory.

"It was an outstanding win by the boys today," said head coach Patrick Cooney. "I'm really proud of how they battled back, especially in overtime. We're looking forward to our next game next week!"
