SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Salve Regina University has been voted to finish fourth in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC)  after a  men's lacrosse coaches' pre-season poll. Endicott College was voted as the favorite to win the 2015 championship after receiving all nine first-place votes and a total of 81 points in the CCC pre-season poll.

Western New England University, the 2014 CCC Champion, placed second after earning a total of 71 points. Roger Williams University claimed third with 63 points, while Salve Regina University, the 2014 ECAC Champion was slated fourth after receiving 49 points to round out the top billing.

After a tremendous 2014 season going 15-5 and winning the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Championship, the Salve Regina University men's lacrosse team is looking to ride positive momentum into the 2015 campaign. "We are excited about the 2015 schedule. The student-athletes are motivated.  Our success in 2014, talented newcomers, several new opponents, a spring trip to Florida, and our ever improving Commonwealth Coast Conference have helped the program progress," said Salve Regina 12th-year head coach Patrick Cooney. Cooney's 2015 squad returns 26 players from last season's championship squad including the league's leading point scorer, Nick LoCicero (Lynbrook, N.Y.), who set school records with 63 assists and 78 points in his freshman season.
